Shakita: He Answered

you were in the hospital
for days and nights
family members praying to God
that you win this fight

praying that you don’t suffer
and that the pain go away
knowing in your heart that you
won’t make it to see a brighter day

so as soon as your family members realized
that you soon would be gone
they knew that it was time for you to let go
because you held on for so long

your family members started to believe that
there was no Lord because you died
after a couple of days something
very important was realized

God answered their prayers
in a way of his own
He stopped you from suffering
and brought you straight home

He has answered their prayers
and gave you the best
now the only thing I pray for
is that in peace you rest
