Brittany: The Beach

By Brittany Langford

As I lay on the salt-like surface, I watch the sunrise with shades on my eyes. I can hear seagulls chirp as loud as the rolling sea singing a song. I can feel the ice cold, back-throbbing water. Screaming and yelling is what I hear.

When I turn to my right, I can see little children building sand castles in the sky. When I look toward my left, I can hear all the laughter and happiness.

It’s a fun place to be, also a dangerous place to be. Were you there? I was there, experiencing the fun and laughter. Don’t get me wrong, it can rain down on this lovely, salt-like surface. When it does, the water is like a fierce lion pouncing on its prey.

I love the salt-like surface. I love the ice cold, back-throbbing water. I love… the beach.
