Brittany: The Secret Stone, Chapter 2

As James opened the door to his room, he couldn’t get the horse man, Zatherith, or why he went back to that time.
“James! James!” his mother called. “Dinner time!”
James hurried down the stairs, and then realized that he still had the stone in his hand. He ran upstairs, hid the stone in a chest and slammed the chest down very nervously.
“James, come eat this instant!” his mom yelled very angrily.
James ran down the stairs very quickly to eat. He was eating his most favorite foods: chicken, macaroni and honey biscuits. His mother tried to have a table conversation, but James just ignored her. Why? Why would James ignore his mother? He couldn’t take the mysterious man off his mind. He wondered why.
“James! James, answer me when I’m speaking to you!” He immediately apologized for ignoring his mom.
“I have other things on my mind,” he said. He slammed the napkin on the plate, went back upstairs, flopped on the bed, and fell asleep.
