Do you have an inkling?

Many teachers have been requesting ink cartridges for their classroom printers. We have submitted an emergency order of ink cartridges for the Epson Stylus 740, Epson Stylus C80, and Lexmark Z33 printers, and will replace ink for those printers as soon as the ink cartridges arrive. We apologize for any inconvenience. In the meantime, you may…

Print with a team teacher
If teachers are able to print their work on a team teacher’s printer, it is recommended that they arrange it with the team teacher to print their work until our ink arrives. The Technology Department will replace ink in ALL printers that need ink, so the team teacher won’t be slighted.

Access your work in the I.M.C.
Teachers may also use the I.M.C. to access their work and print. There are several iMac’s, connected to the school’s network, that allow teachers and students to get their work and print it right in the school’s library.

Bring your work to a lab
Teachers that need to print their work saved on the network may arrange a mutually convenient time with a computer lab teacher to access their work and print as needed in one of our four computer labs. Please remember that we have three labs with Apple computers and one Dell PC lab.

Users of Hewlett-Packard (HP) DeskWriter and other printers will suffer little wait time for ink, as we still have ink cartridges in stock for those printer models. Those mentioned earlier, however, are more widely used and therefore use ink more quickly. As ink arrives for these printers, the cartridges will first be moved into classrooms of teachers that have submitted a complaint to us with the Computer Problem Complaint forms. Thank your for your patience and cooperation during this time.

Technology Survey

Mrs. Miranda Garcia-Thompson created and distributed a technology survey for teachers. The Technology Department will use the results of the survey to determine what kinds of technology professional development will best serve the needs of the our teaching staff. If you have not yet done so, please fill out and return these survey forms to her as soon as possible. They should be returned to room 109 or placed in her mailbox.
